Me in Poland with the DPP Article

I forgot to mention it, but a friend posted it tonight of Facebook.  I found a copy of the Digital PhotoPro Magazine when I was in Poland a couple weeks ago.  I was actually really excited.  I knew the magazine had a big circulation, but I was not very aware of the international reach.  That said, you can see a lot of American magazines in the background.  but I was excited regardless. Here, I am with my friend Dave after a long morning of travels.

New Alina Vacariu Photo – Michael Creagh

Here is the first taste from the new Alina Vacariu shoot.  It was a fun and sexy shoot.  She was just as sweet as ever.  Hopefully, in the next few days or a week, I will be able to post more.  We have barely begun to look through everything.  But I think people will be excited to see the results.  They are hot!

This image was taken with my Canon 1DS Mark III.  No crazy tricks, Alina is just standing in front of a window.  The light was very low, so I shot wide open, with a very low depth of field, like F2.0.

Photographing Alina Vacariu Today – Michael Creagh

I know my Alina Vacariu post from this time last year has been one of the most popular in this blog’s history.  Well, I listen and back by popular demand I am photographing Alina again today.  Not that it took too much convincing to decide to photograph one of the world’s most beautiful women.  We had such a good time working (if you could call it working!) together last time, that the only barrier to shooting again was trying to coordinate our busy schedules.  I was in Europe the week before last, she was last week, etc.

Check back this week or next for the first shots from the new shoot.  I am on my way to the studio now!!!!

Whitney Thompson from America’s Next Top Model – Michael Creagh

I am back from Poland

I just got back from Torun, Poland.  I was there for the week to attend and photograph my good friend’s wedding.  Hence the lack of blog posts.  Here are some street shots from Torun.  Very beautiful town.  It is where Copernicus was born.  The cathedral where the ceremony took place is actually where he was baptized.  I will try to post a shot or two after the bride gets to see all her shots!

Color or Black and White?

I posted all the Winter 2009 shots in black and white only, and the Holiday 2009 collection in color.  Truth be told, we shot them all in both.  Susana Monaco is running the Winter collection in both, which makes a lot of sense for them.  What about me?  Any thoughts?

Below is a few from the collection that I think could go either way?  Also, it is a good excuse to post the photos a little larger.

Susana Monaco Winter Holiday 2009 Shoot – Michael Creagh

Here is the newest Susana Monaco catalog that I promised last week.  It is in 2 sections; Winter and Holiday.  Holiday is the collection with Martha in red hair.
